The Maserati Gran Turismo has to be one of the sexiest cars in recent memory. However, if the sticker price is slightly above your comfort zone, you may want to set your sights on the baby GT that is rumored to be unveiled at a major auto show in 2009. The baby GT will take stylistic cues from its older brother but is expected to be priced below the six-figure threshold which will put it squarely in the realm of 911's and the BMW 6-series.
This latest Maserati will likely be badged a Spyder and will sport a 350-hp engine that will take it from 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds with a top speed of 170 mph. According to Auto Express, the Spyder will have a stiffer suspension and a tweaked version of the Maserati DuoSelect paddleshift transmission.
