Ice Hotel

ice hotel quebec
For the 9th straight season, starting from January 4 to March 29, the Ice Hotel in Quebec will offer its guests the opportunity to live in an ice wonderland. Rebuilt every year from pure Canadian ice, the Ice Hotel (or Hotel de Glace) is truly a unique lodging experience. There are 36 rooms and special themed suites, all made of ice, including the bed (don't worry, it's topped with a mattress). One thing the rooms don't come with are bathrooms, since presumably creating toilets out of ice could be less than sanitary. There are shared bathroom facilities are available in the central pavilion area.

Other features of the hotel include outdoor spas and saunas as well as the most authentic ice bar in the entire world. If you decide to visit, make sure to bring plenty of warm clothing since the ambient temperature remains beteen -5 to -3 degrees Celsius at all times. Brrrr....

TravelZoo.com is offering up to 40 percent of regular rates at the Ice Hotel. For $135 per person, you'll get:

- 1 night accommodations
- Welcome cocktail in an "ice glass"
- Full buffet breakfast at L’Auberge Duchesnay
- Access to hot tubs and saunas
- Hot beverage in the morning

You'll need to book by October 17.
