If the US is to maintain it's leadership in science, it needs more science-types that look like physicist Amy Mainzer. Who is Amy Mainzer? She's a scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory who has a B.S. in physics from Stanford, M.S. in astronomy from Cal Tech, and a PhD in astronomy from UCLA. So obviously she has brains, but as I found out while watching History Channel's The Universe late one night, she also has the looks. Oh does she have the looks. Check out the video clip below and see if you agree.
So what do you think the odds are of Ms. Mainzer doing a Maxim spread?

Man can I sign-up for her class. I do have an M.S. in Chemistry and would love to be her research student. She can slave-drive me any time. All I can say is Jamani-jamana-jamana for this scientist.
Too bad I can't transport myself like the Green Lantern to the asteroid belt and bring her a sample with a dozen roses. (That's all I can think of to impress her--the asteroid samples that is...I did learn from her that these particles are actually about 1 million miles apart from each other unlike the Han Solo manuevers) But on a more serious note I'm glad that women out there can see how your beauty should not impede academic achievement. So much for stereotypes.
oh just so u no asteroids are slightly larger than particles, right Amy my sweet science?
