Luxe of the Day: Porsche Design Driving Shoe

Porsche Design Driving Shoe
What exactly distinguishes a driving shoe from your ordinary sneaker? Great question. We just thought driving shoes looked cool but according to the brilliant folks at Porsche Design, there is a science behind the aesthetics. Here is their description of their P5619 Driving Shoe including the technical merits of this good looking accessory:

"This next generation of the iconic driving shoe is crafted from a combination of rich, full-grain leather and mesh. It has a breathable tongue and features a specially designed low-profile rubber outsole that allows for different functionality in the left and right foot. Its moulded foot shell provides the heel with a “seat” while in driving position whereas the asymmetrical outsole ensures perfect grip and sensory precision."
