DealBase

dealbase
There are lots of travel sites out there that publish deals - including your friends here at G Luxe - but one new site is setting out to clearly show you what kind of deal you're really getting. Launched just last month, DealBase is an online resource started by a trio of Web travel veterans that scours various sources including Web sites, newsletters, reward clubs and programs, and online travel agencies to find you the best travel deals and presents them in a consistent and easy to understand format that lets you compare deals on an apples-to-apples basis.

We tried out the site and really dig it's format and filtering tools. For example, we searched for deals in one of our favorite destinations, Las Vegas. We set the filter to show only four and five star properties (no Treasure Island please) and 129 deals were found. The one that caught our eye was this VIP Experience package at the Hard Rock Hotel. The site's Deal Analyzer shows all the goodies you get with the package and compares the deal price with the regular price of the room and all of the extras. On this particular package, you'll save an impressive $513 per night.

The site is fairly new so they're still adding more features, but based on what we've seen, it looks like a worthy travel site to add to your bookmarks.
