Sandals Private Isle

sandals fowl cay resort royal plantation island
Sandals is probably best known for mid-range resorts that cater more to the buffet-eating set than the true luxury traveler. In recent years, they've tried to move higher up in the food chain with their Royal Plantation line of properties that includes the Royal Plantation at Fowl Cay, a private 50-acre island located in the Bahamian chain of the Exumas. Located just 200 miles from Miami, the island is comprised of six villas, secluded coves, white-sand beaches, and a wonderful hilltop restaurant. Rates for the largest villa (room for six) can go for over $26 grand a week during high season, but included with the package are: all you can consume food and drinks (alcoholic beverages included), butler service, golf cart, and use of other non-motorized activities. For a limited time offer, they're offering the 7th night free for travel between September 1 to December 20, 2008 and January 1 to January 31, 2009.
