OpenSkies, JFK to Paris for $1440
With the demise of essentially all of the business-class only transatlantic airlines such as Silver Jet and EOS Airlines, we're crossing our fingers that the new OpenSkies airline by British Airways will be able to offer something comparable. Designed primarily for the well-heeled traveler - only 30 of the expected 82 seats to of the coach variety with the remaining split between Business and Premium Economy - OpenSkies is set to start offering flights starting on June 19. The airline's name refers to the Open Skies agreement struck between the US and EU that permits airlines to fly to and from the US to continental Europe.
As part of its launch promotion, OpenSkies is offering round-trip flights from JFK to Paris in its Premium Economy cabin for only $1440 for travel between June 19 - August 31 (purchase by June 16). Go to travelandleisure.com to learn more about this offer.
