Lucid Absinthe on sale for $59

The marketing claims, "Prohibition is finally over!"

Well, not really. Traditional absinthe has a chemical called Thujone and it's this chemical tha is banned by the FDA. Thujone comes from an herb called Grand Wormwood that is used in the production process. Lucid Absinthe claims to be made from whole herbs including Grand Wormwood, but they don't like to hightlight the fact that they've filtered the Thuhone out of the herb.

Regadless, this is mostly absinthe...kind of. At the very least, your friends will be impressed that you're serving absinthe. They won't know the difference. You can buy a bottle of Lucid Absinthe at Morrell Wine for $59.95. This is $10 less than MSRP and a few bucks less than we've seen at other vendors. Click here to order.

By the way, here's how to properly prepare a glass of absinthe:

Pour 1.25 - 1.5 oz of lucid into an appropriate glass. Place a sugar cube atop a flat, perforated spoon that rests on the rim of the glass (using the sugar and spoon are optional). Slowly drip 4-5 oz of ice cold water on top of the sugar cube (or directly into the glass), which slowly dissolves into the Absinthe. The cold water causes Lucid to louche ("loosh") into an opalescent cloud as the herbal essences emerge from the Absinthe and perfume the room.
