I Love My HP Mini

hp mini 1000
In order to be able to watch porn on business travel...err...I mean so that I can work on G Luxe whenever and wherever I want to, I just picked up a brand new HP Mini 1000 Notebook. Weighing in at just over 2 lbs, the Mini is the perfect notebook if you're looking for a compact machine to take with you down to the coffee shop or away on travel. The particular model that I purchased has an Intel Atom Processor running at 1.60GHz and features a 10.2" LED Brightview Infinity Display, 1GB ram, 60GB hard drive, mini webcam, Wireless-G card, and Windows XP Home. I love this thing. Even though its half the size of my primary laptop at home and doesn't measure up when it comes to performance (at least on paper), I swear it actually runs better and faster. Of course, that probably has more to do with the fact that my Dell is running that most craptacular of all operating systems, Vista.

My only two gripes with the Mini is that the keyboard is just a tad bit small, especially if you have gorilla hands like I do. Also, the glare on the screen appears to be a bit more than I've noticed on other laptops. Overall though, this is a great mobile computer, especially considering you can buy one that's well-loaded for only $450.
