Well not really a moat, more like a spectacular 11,000 sq ft infinity pool surrounding a gorgeous villa. That’s the showcase feature of the
Casa Sol De Oriente located in Costa Careyes, Mexica which is a 2.5 hour drive from Puerto Vallarta. Built in 1968 by an Italian artist/entrepreneur, the 26,400 sq ft villa has six bedrooms (three with direct pool access), and amenities including WiFi and cable/satellite TV. Of course, if you stay at a place like this, not a finger shall you raise in effort as all your (legal) needs will be taken care of by staff including a butler, chef, and maids. If you plan on renting the Casa Oriente during the Christmas holidays, be prepared to get your R&R on for at least two weeks since that is the minimum stay.
