Scores-less?
Just last week, a few of us were discussing whether the economic malaise was impacting strip-clubs (this is the type of high-brow conversations we have). We figured that it would be a fairly recession-proof business considering the worse things get, the more guys will want to spend whatever money they have getting away from their miseries (whining wife, upside down mortgage, etc.). Well, that may not be the case, at least not for New York's legendary Scores which the Daily News is reporting will be shutting down its doors before the end of the year. Yes, this is the same Scores that was at one point the favorite haunt of Howard Stern and other celebrities, and was once known as the highest grossing strip club in the world. It appears the bad economy along with the loss of its liquor license will soon put a lot of hard working ladies on the unemployment line.
