One member of the G Luxe Crew is intimately familiar with the subject matter in Joan Sinclair's book Pink Box. Can you guess who? Well if you haven't had the opportunity to partake in some sinful fun in the Land of the Rising Sun, you can get an intimate look into the world of Japan's infamous sex clubs by checking out Sinclair's book. Unlike the mundane strip clubs Stateside, those wacky Japanese love their adult entertainment on the kinky side. Ever fantasize about getting freaky with a couple of airline stewardesses (undoubtedly NOT the grandmas of American or United)? How about with a naughty school teacher? As Sinclair documents in her book, those are all possible as long as you have the yen and are not a foreigner (unless you have really, really good connections). Why no foreigners? As Sinclair points out on her site:
"1. Foreigners don't understand the rules--of which there are admittedly many. 2. They scare the Japanese customers. 3. They complain too much. 4. They can't communicate well with the women if the women get uncomfortable. 5. They may have AIDs."
Having seen the unfortunate jackass behavior of Americans and Euros on vacation, I can totally understand numbers 1-4, but I highly doubt we have the monopoly on STD's as #5 implies.
