The Standard Hotel New York isn't expected to complete construction until 2009, however minor details like a busy construction site and a lack of room service isn't preventing them from opening up a handful of rooms to the public for a soft opening. Starting on December 10th, you can book a room starting at $195 which includes a complimentary continental breakfast, WiFi, local calls, and 24 hour concierge service. Guests will also receive an in-room binder filled with favorite local restaurants that will provide delivery service.
