Help Ernst Benz Change Lives
For the next few weeks, we'll be spotlighting some worthy charities that you should consider donating to this holiday season. While it may seem like all doom and gloom with the economy in the toilet, people losing their jobs, and in my case having an F-18 fall out of the sky just a mile from my pad, there are many who are worse off and could use a little bit of help and holiday cheer.
Today's spotlight charity is Chrysalis which is an independent non-profit organization based in Los Angles that is dedicated to helping the homeless and poor gain and maintain employment. Since founded in 1984, the organization has helped over 30,000 people find jobs in the LA area. Swiss watch maker Ernst Benz has introduced a limited edition collection of watches called "Time of Change" designed by musician Mary J. Blige, actor Eric Dane, and hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons. Each series is limited to 24 watches in honor of Chrysalis' 24th anniversary and range in price from $5,500 for the Russell Simmons watch to $19,500 for Mary J. Blige's. Our personal favorite is the black on black piece by Eric Dane which retails for $7,500. Fifty percent of the proceeds from each watch will go to Chrysalis so go ahead and buy yourself or your loved one a nice gift this Christmas.
