We at G Luxe are glad to hear that a few high rollers still have the bankroll to splurge on decadence, like spending a couple hundred grand on a fungus. Last Saturday, Macau casino mogul Stanley Ho did just that by being the highest bidder for a 1.08 kg white truffle at a charity auction held simultaneously in Abu Dhabi, Macau, London and Rome. Ho is the same guy who spent $330,000 on a 1.5 kg truffle last year. I guess he loves his truffles.
