Second Touch
Yesterday, Jobs & Company released the second generation iPod Touch. The newest Touch is lighter and smaller than the original model and bests the first generation model through a contoured metal design, integrated volume control, built-in speaker, and support for Genius playlists. Touch users can download a number of games including Spore Origins, Scrabble, and Real Football 2009 either on iTunes or directly from the App Store application. Apple promises 36 hours of music playback and 6 hours of video playback on a single charge. That's plenty of juice for a cross country flight. For you workout freaks, the new Touch comes equipped with a built-in Nike + iPod support.
The iPod Touch 2G is now available for $230 (8GB), $300 (16GB), and $400 (32GB).
