Cloud 9

cloud 9
If you're a jet-setter based in Europe, you should check out Cloud 9, an exclusive private jet and lifestyle management service that caters to the jet-setter that hates taking care of travel details. As a card-carrying member, you'll have access to Cloud 9 service agents who will plan every aspect of you trip including transportation to and from the airport and of course, book one of their five- and six-seater Cessna Citations (larger planes are available upon request). Of course, this level of service doesn't come cheap: 15 hours of flight time will run you 43,000 Pounds. However, having you and your lovely lady driven up to your personal jet in a private town car...that's freaking priceless. Go to c9int.com to learn more.

A Century of Dunhill

dunhill anniversary edition
100 years is a great milestone for any company. Dunhill is celebrating their century mark with the Dunhill Anniversary Edition, which will be made in Nicaragua by the Toranos and distributed by CAO. The cigars will be made using a combination of Nicaraguan, Dominican, and African Cameroon tobacco. Dunhill will limit production to about 20,000 cigars so prices won't be cheap. The cigars should be released in the mid-fall period.

Viva Liberia

robert johnson invests in liberia
With the US real estate and stock market in shambles, you're probably wondering where to park your hard earned cash. Why not invest in an emerging market. A really emerging market, like Liberia. Yes, we're talking about that war-torned nation that was started way back when by freed slaves. Think its a stupid idea? Well, BET founder and billionaire Robert Johnson doesn't think so as he has invested in an $8 million, 85 room four-star resort near the capital of Liberia. The beach front hotel is scheduled to open next March and will include all the normal resort amenities including a restaurant, tennis courts, a spa, health club, swimming pool, guards, infrared motion detectors and bulletproof glass (seriously).

If you're looking for a break from the Four Seasons and Palmillas, come visit Liberia. For between $150-$200 per night, you may even get a meet and greet with Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.

Pimp Quote of the Day

daniel craig
We found this quote in an ad for Thompson Hotels. We at G Luxe concur vigorously.

"The good life. Where work is always mixed with play, and anyone worth their salt knows how to mix the two, like a proper Manhattan. Secret societies, clandestine meetings, good scotch and luxurious place to loosen your tie, light up a Cohiba and reflect on past and present victories."

Viking's Lair

viking's exotic resort
Gentlemen, paradise really does exist on Earth and its location is somewhere in the Dominican Republic. A couple years ago, I was watching a show on Playboy TV (I'm a bachelor so I'm allowed such vices) and saw this profile on a resort that caters to guys who want to truly live out their hedonistic fantasies. I remember thinking, "Damn, that sounds like something I need to go check out", but forgot to follow up and didn't think about it until recently when I read about the same resort on thrillist.com.

Viking's Exotic Resort is a luxury destination that redefines "all-inclusive". When you purchase one of their vacation packages, you'll not only get 4-star accommodations, and all the drinks and food you can consume, but you'll also enjoy the company of one (or more) of the resort's lovely ladies. And we're not talking about some skanky, overweight hags, but rather modelesque types that have been selected by the resort not only for their beauty but also their personalities. For example, the lovely lady pictured here is one of the actual escorts...I mean companions.

3 night/4 day packages start at only $3900 and go up to $7900 for their Ultimate Fantasy Package where you'll get a VIP suite and two ladies for the duration of your stay. Seriously, that's a freaking bargain. Just like any well run bordello, the ladies are all tested and practice safe sex.

To book your ultimate dream vacation, go to cat69.com.

Without a doubt, G Luxe Crew Member Tandori is franticly clearing his calendar for the next month and booking a flight to the Dominican Republic.

Race Fans Wet Dream

iOpener race technology
So you think you can lay the whoop arse on Lewis Hamilton? Do you think you could do laps around Danica Patrick cause she's a girl? Well soon, you might have a chance to find out with a new GPS technology by iOpener that will enable you to virtually race top drivers in real time via your game console or PC. Basically, the company's technology will track the location and speed of a race car in an actual live race, which will then be streamed to wannabe racers world-wide. iOpener will not actually develop their own games but rather license the technology to other developers. Of course, there is still a slight difference between risking life and limb rocketing down a real race track in an F-1 race car and sitting on your Mom's couch in front of your Xbox.

American Airlines NOT on This List

top 10 luxury airline interiors
BornRich recently put together their top 10 list of most luxurious aircraft interiors. The nominees were a mix of actual airline cabins such as Singapore Airline's private bedroom cabin, to concept luxury cabins. Rest assured, no US airline will ever, EVER, be on such a list.

How rich are you?

global rich list
Do you ever wonder how you stack up against the rest of the world when it comes to wealth? Here's a fun little site that takes your annual income and tells you your global ranking (compared to everyone from Russian billionaires to that charming goat herder in Kenya). Of course the site has a few flaws since true wealth is measured by your balance sheet, not income level (just ask those broke ass mortgage brokers). Go to globalrichlist.com to figure out your ranking.

Sneak Peek: 2010 Cayman

2010 porsche cayman
After driving a 2006 Boxster for the past couple of years, I've already decided on my next purchase once my current warranty runs out: a Cayman S. Essentially the hardtop version of the Boxster, the Cayman is the mid-engine, younger brother of the venerable 911. For the 2010 model, the Cayman will be receiving some major tweaks (by Porsche standards), including direct injection, the new 7-speed PDK transmission, 25 additional horespower (up to 320 hp), and revised front and rear fascias. If you're looking for a sports car in the sub-100K range that will put a smile on your face every time you get in, consider the Cayman. Check out more pics on autoblog.com.

Wingwomen: your angels of lust

wingwomen
This post should be filed under the "Why the hell didn't I think of that?" folder. Wingwomen is a dating/introduction service that works off the premise that there's no better way to land an attractive woman than having one already at your side. Wingwomen will provide you with one or more lovely ladies to escort as you as you troll the bars and clubs. While these ladies are attractive and charming, remember that your goal is not to sleep with them. They're there to help you get laid by some other poor soul.

Currently Wingwomen are available for hire in Las Vegas and New York and will cost between $75-$100 per hour. If you're in Vegas, you can book their Rock Star package which comes with VIP access to clubs, transportation and two Wingwomen for four hours. They'll even hire you some security if you're a big enough schmuck to think you need some.

Go to wingwomen.com to start getting lucky.

Sandals Private Isle

sandals fowl cay resort royal plantation island
Sandals is probably best known for mid-range resorts that cater more to the buffet-eating set than the true luxury traveler. In recent years, they've tried to move higher up in the food chain with their Royal Plantation line of properties that includes the Royal Plantation at Fowl Cay, a private 50-acre island located in the Bahamian chain of the Exumas. Located just 200 miles from Miami, the island is comprised of six villas, secluded coves, white-sand beaches, and a wonderful hilltop restaurant. Rates for the largest villa (room for six) can go for over $26 grand a week during high season, but included with the package are: all you can consume food and drinks (alcoholic beverages included), butler service, golf cart, and use of other non-motorized activities. For a limited time offer, they're offering the 7th night free for travel between September 1 to December 20, 2008 and January 1 to January 31, 2009.

Go to sandals.com to book your own fantasy island vacation.

Firefly Sweet Tea

firefly sweet tea
A few weeks ago while dying in the hell-on-earth heat of Arizona, the G Luxe crew stayed hydrated with the help of some sweet tea we found at the grocery store. We may have found the pool-side sea cows more bearable had we bought some vodka infused sweet tea by Firefly Distillery. Actually, the tea is currently only available in South Carolina, Colorado, Nevada and New York but will soon be available in other parts of the country.

Linden Agave Surfboard

linden agave surfboard
If you're ever concerned that your fiberglass composite surf board would ever break while you're out riding 10 foot waves and have it spend the next 10,000 years floating in the ocean, consider the very biodegradable surfboards by Linden Agave. Made from dead agave wood from the Southern California dessert, these boards will meld into the ocean in case of breakage in a lot less time than ten millenium. Why would we write about a sustainable surf board? Cause its damn expensive at between $2500 to $5000 per board and our friend Callie (the Queen of Green) would be proud of us.

Prada nylon duffle bag

prada nylon duffle bag
A good (and good-looking) duffle bag is an essential accessory for any self-respecting jet-setter. Nothing is more embarrassing than pulling up to the valet of a 5-star resort in your sporty convertible only to have the bellman pull out some atrocious looking thing you bought at Target. If you're in the market for a new weekender, check out this nylon duffle bag by Prada. It's ideal for that quick weekend jaunt with your special lady. Pick it up at saksfifthavenue.com for a measly $1250.

Recession clubbing?

Christian Audigier The Night Club
Ahhh...to be in a global economic downturn. With gas nearing five bucks a gallon and every mortgage broker/real estate hack back to valeting cars, fewer people are able to casually drop a grand or more on bottle service. Realizing this new world order, the soon-to-open Christian Audigier The Night Club located in the old Tangerine space at Treasure Island Las Vegas, is changing the rules of bottle service. Instead of paying some absurd amount for a set number of bottles, all you'll have to do is spend a minimum tab on beverages of your choice.

The club is set to open on July 4th and is designed by the club's name sake who is the man behind some of the avant garde designs of Diesel, Ed Hardy and Von Dutch. Go to audigierlv.com to reserve your table.
